Shipyard’s Night Market

When: Every Friday night from 5pm-10pm  until Sep 30.

Description: Plenty of food trucks, art, music, entertainment and shopping. The festivities in the Square kick off at 5pm every Friday. On the Shipbuilders’ Stage there is live music until 10pm, featuring talent from all over BC. The Shipyard’s Night Market will also have a Beer Garden that features local craft beers such as Bridge Brewing Pale Ale , Deep Cove Lager and local ciders.

Free Orpheum Theatre Tours

When: 11AM Every Tues, Thurs, Sat until Sep 30.

Description: Kick start your Saturday afternoon with a free 90 minute entertainment-focused walking tour hosted by the BC Entertainment Hall of Fame. On the tour you will learn the history of the Orpheum Theatre and will include fun stories like the time Frank Sinatra almost got kicked out for busting up the dressing room lights while he practiced his golf swing.

The tour involves some stair climbing and may be challenging for those with mobility issues, it is not recommended to children under 8 years of age. Registered participants should arrive at the Orpheum’s Granville Street entrance at least 10 minutes prior to the 11am start time.

Eastside Flea Fall Kickoff Party

When: Sep 9, 6pm-10pm

Description: Starting Sep 9, the Eastside Flea Market will be back in business for the Fall/Winter season. Expect to see and find,  vintage collectibles, local handmade goods, artisan eats, artist showrooms, food trucks, DJ’s and more.

Greek Food Festival

When: Sep 9-11, Fri 5pm-10 pm; Sat-Sun 10am-4pm

Description: The Greek Food Festival will have plenty of free activities for visitors of all ages; delicious homemade style Greek food, live dance performers from Greece, and tremendous raffle prizes, like a trip for 2 to Greece.

Strathcona Sports Day

When: Sep 10, 12-4pm

Description: It’s a Sports Day like elementary school but this time its geared towards adults. For an entry fee of $30 you will get to participate in big kid games against other big kids, win awesome prizes and take a trip back to memory lane. After all the games are done the party will move to the Field House for the end of summer Back Yard BBQ. From there the awards will be presented and the music needle will be dropped for people to get jiggy.
